Production OS for Indian film

Ask Mark

Every production runs on paperwork. Mark’s brain isn’t random artificial intelligence — it is built on Indian production data: real rate cards, real vendors and real cost reports from films, TV, commercials and music videos shot here.

Mumbai · Hyderabad · Chennai · Budgets in ₹ with GST · Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam or English · A line producer reviews every output

The humans

I’ve marked up a call sheet at 1am with a torch in my teeth. MARK is the thing I wish I’d had on every set — the paperwork handled, so the people are free to make the film.

The model

Not a tool you buy. Someone who deploys

MARK doesn’t sell you software and wish you luck. A production creative embeds with your department, runs a real job alongside your team, and leaves behind a system built on your rate cards, your vendors and your crew — not a generic template.

What we believe →
01

Embedded, not licensed

A line producer or 1st AD who has done the job at scale sits inside your production department for the length of the engagement. Their judgement is the product; the AI removes the work nobody wanted anyway.

02

Built on your data

Your rate cards, your vendor list, your crew roster, your last three cost reports. The system knows what a shoot day actually costs in Mumbai or Hyderabad this month — not what it costs on average.

03

Agentic search

Rate cards, FWICE and union schedules, vendor catalogues, state film-office permits, monsoon windows. The answer a producer would have spent half a day finding, with its sources attached.

04

Trained on outcomes

What came in under. What overran. Which line the producer cut, and which vendor delivered. Every production that runs through MARK sharpens the estimate on the next one.

How it works

Slate. Wire. Ship. With a human in the cut

The architecture, and why →
01

Slate the production

Drop in the script, the dates, the lead cast — or just paste a paragraph. The agentic layer sluglines the scenes, counts the days, builds the breakdown. The line producer on duty checks it before you see it.

02

Wire the floor

Plug in Gmail, WhatsApp, Drive. Crew, vendors, location managers, NDAs — MARK holds the rolodex and the paper trail. Our 1st AD on the module makes sure the call sheet reads like a call sheet, not a SaaS export.

03

Ask, and it ships

“Cut tomorrow’s call sheet.” “Trim catering by ₹2L.” “Send the new SOC to all 40 crew.” Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam or English, over WhatsApp. The AI does the busywork; the human reviews anything you’d want a human to review.

The channel

Your unit already runs on WhatsApp. So does Mark

Nothing for the crew to install, no login for the gaffer, no portal the 2nd AD forgets the password to. Mark sits in the group the unit is already in, answers in the language the message arrives in, and sends the paperwork out the same way.

Unit 1 — Production
Mark, cut tomorrow’s call sheet. Same crew, Dharavi rooftop, 5.30 call.
MarkDay 4 drafted — 38 crew, sunrise 06:12, unit move 13:00. Catering moved to the rooftop. Sent to the line producer to review.
DAY-04 · CALL SHEET · PDF
आज का कैटरिंग कितने का है?
Mark₹46,200 — 38 क्रू तीन मील। बजट से ₹3,800 कम।
Send it.

Under the hood

Built like production software, not a demo

A budget that cannot be interrogated is a guess, so the estimate carries its sources, the agent layer is typed, and every build runs a correctness suite over the budget engine before anything reaches a producer.

Every build runs these against the budget engine — no network, no API key
  • shape.required_keys
  • shape.sections_nonempty
  • shape.section_count_8_12
  • tax.gst_rate_is_decimal
  • items.conf_valid
  • items.amounts_numeric
  • sections.required_present
  • ratio.post_vs_production
  • reconcile.total_in_band
  • reconcile.shoot_days

A prompt tweak or a rate-card change that breaks any of these fails the build rather than surfacing as a producer complaint. Per-tenant credentials are encrypted at rest; anything irreversible — messaging the unit, issuing a contract, locking a budget — is staged and approved by a human first.

Engagement

Four stages. Start with five days

Land small, prove it in currency, expand. Every stage ends with a decision the Client can walk away from — and a number that says whether they should.

Teardown

Stage 00 · 5 working days

We take your last three productions — budgets, actuals, call sheets, invoices — and show you where the money leaked, which lines are wrong every single time, and what the paperwork actually costs you across a year.

  • Teardown report
  • Variance ledger
  • Annual cost of process
  • Remediation plan
Fixed fee ₹3,75,000 Credited in full against Stage 1

Bootcamp

Stage 01 · 2–4 weeks

We embed on your next live production. Not a demo, not a sandbox — the real job. Your rate cards, vendors and crew go into the system; a locked budget, daily call sheets and a live cost report come out, run alongside your producer.

  • Locked budget
  • Call sheets, every day
  • Live cost report
  • Your data, configured
Fixed fee From ₹15,00,000 One production, start to wrap

Deployment

Stage 02 · Monthly, 6-month min.

A MARK creative sits inside your production department. Every job routes through the system. We are in your Monday production meeting and your crew WhatsApp, and the paperwork stops being something you think about.

  • Every production
  • Named creative
  • Vendor + crew ops
  • Guaranteed turnaround
Retainer From ₹7,50,000/mo Six-month minimum · scaled to volume

Platform

Stage 03 · Per production

Once it is load-bearing, the deployment intensity drops and MARK converts to a licence your own producers drive. We stay on call for the weeks that need a human who has done it before.

  • Self-serve modules
  • Support retainer
  • Quarterly recalibration
Licence Scoped Available after Stage 2
